1979-1999
The 914-6 Club USA was founded in 1979 by Larry Morris and a group of enthusiastic 914-6 owners. Through their efforts, a great deal of information and support was exchanged among the members. The 914-6 Club USA merged with the 914 Owners Association in 1986 to form the world's largest Porsche 914 organization with members in over 20 countries worldwide.
The popularity of the 914-6 remains strong. It is a car that has often been copied, but never surpassed. Those who own and maintain original 'sixes' are well aware of their special place in Porsche automotive history and sense their unique bond with other 'sixers'.
